Meet Ellen – Your Local Dog Walker & Animal Lover

Hi, I’m Ellen, dog walker, animal lover, mud enthusiast, and professional treat dispenser.

I live in Thackthwaite near Penrith with my daughter and three brilliant (and slightly chaotic) dogs, Molly, Ronnie, and Yeti, plus a rabbit, chickens, ducks, and a non-working farm that definitely feels like a working one.

With nearly four years of experience in dog walking and a lifelong love of animals, I bring a calm, caring, and practical approach to every walk and overnight stay. I studied Animal Management and grew up surrounded by animals of every size and personality, but dogs have always been at the centre of it all.

I’m happiest outdoors, walking the fells, wild swimming, or snapping photos of muddy dogs living their best lives. Starting Woof Terrain has been a long-time dream, and I’m so proud to now offer a doggy daycare and home boarding across Keswick and Pooley Bridge, and all the beautiful bits in between.

Whether you need weekday walks, weekend adventures, or a loving home while you're away, I'm here to help your dog feel safe, happy, and part of the pack.

Reach out via call, text, or WhatsApp.

🐾 Step 2 → Tell us about your dog

Share their age, energy levels, and any important info like health needs or quirks.

🏡 Step 3 → We handle the rest

We pick them up, head back to the farm or for a fun walk or playtime, and return them home happy and tired.

Pricing & Packages

At Woof Terrain Doggy Daycare, we offer a premium, all-inclusive experience for your pup, including pick-up, drop-off, outdoor adventures, enrichment games, and relaxation time in a safe and loving environment.

  • 9am - 3pm - £35

  • Home Boarding
    • £55 per night (includes all home comforts and daily walk)

    From January 2026 our prices for Homeboarding will be £60/night/dog

Doing Our Bit for the Planet

At Woof Terrain, we care about muddy paws and a healthy planet.

We use compostable poo bags, eco-friendly cleaning products, and digital forms to reduce waste. Walks are grouped by location to cut down on fuel, and packaging is returned to owners for reuse.

It’s not perfect, but we’re always looking for small ways to tread more lightly.

Dog care that’s kind to the earth as well as your pup.
